Five-Year BA/MA Program
Earn Your BA and MA in Sociology in Just 5 Years!
The Sociology Department offers a combined 5-Year BA/MA program, allowing qualified students to begin graduate coursework during their senior year and complete the Master's degree by the end of their fifth year.
This is a fantastic opportunity to earn an advanced degree in less time and at a lower cost compared to traditional two-year MA programs. Graduates of the program will be well equipped to enter the workforce, pursue professional school, or continue on to a PhD program.
Interested students should apply during their junior year.

COMMUNITY ORGANIZING IN ACTION!
The Sociology Department welcomed
ELIAS CEPEDA, lead organizer of Pilsen Defense & Access, a local nonprofit that offers self-defense and violence prevention training in early December. He discussed his experience with ICE in Pilsen and his work organizing neighborhood rapid response teams. The talk was followed by a workshop on legal rights and how to be an effective community advocate.
